We have an enormous spreadsheet with all of our areas, zones and priorities of tasks listed, but to make it easy you will find the jobs for the week listed on the whiteboard (fridge) We try to make sure that big projects get achieved as well as the regular jobs. The following is a list of regular jobs that are likely to show up on the board:
- Weed long driveway
- Search for rubbish to pick up
- Sweep decks
- Put leaves/mulch on gardens/avocado trees
- Weed ornamental gardens
- Clean gutters
- Weed cottage driveway and edges
- Mop kitchen floor.
- Clean toilets, bathroom, and floors
- Weed vege garden
- Weed orchards
- Fertilise orchard
- Check/repair/build fences with Gareth
- Fix, repair, build animal enclosures
- Clean fridge
- Clean oven
- Wash windows
Feeding the animals has to be done every day. Galadriel usually feeds the small animals, so you will only need to do this if you are house-sitting.
Top up hens water and check feeder, topping up with chook-chow as necessary. Put food scraps in the chicken tyres, clean the bin and return it to the kitchen.
Rabbits get pellets. Top up water bowls and add a splosh of Apple Cider Vinegar every couple of days. In summer check water twice a day!
Ducklings and chicks also eat chook chow
Chicks and hens also eat chook-chow. Hens get food scraps.
Lulu the cat gets a cup of dry food in the morning.
